My Background and Career
I worked in the commercial sector (built-in kitchen furniture) and then in tourism (in a hotel and a traditional guest house). I was a Town Council member in Portaria, Greece, for 20 years and President of Portaria Public-benefit Municipal Enterprise for 10 years. Today I am a member of the board of directors of Volos Public-benefit Municipal Enterprise.
My professional career in the design and sale of furniture and my interest in communities lead me into politics. I tried to do my best for my town mainly in social equality and welfare. The competition and economic crisis in the commercial sector forced me to seek employment in tourism, specifically in alternative tourism.

Hints & Tips
My lucky words are patience, hard work, smile, fighting spirit
My inspiration comes from the benefits of other people’s involvement with local government locally.
A woman should be patient and persistent in reaching the targets she has set. They will be met through hard work. You cannot lead a team of people without setting first a good example yourself through hard work, communication, and conciliatory spirit, when necessary, so that you can ask your partners for more. A woman will have nothing for free: she has to strive constantly for her goals.
